This Privacy Policy explains how SpeedCube AI Analyzer ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app. We built the app to be privacy-respecting: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or third-party ad trackers.
The short version: We collect the email you sign in with, the practice data you create, and — only when you use AI Solve Analysis — frames from the solve you choose to analyze. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps.
The app uses passwordless sign-in. When you sign in, you provide an email address, and we send a one-time code to it. We store your email address to maintain your account. We do not store a password because there isn't one.
Your solve times, scrambles, sessions, penalties, personal bests, and app settings are created by you as you use the timer. This data is stored on your device and, if you are signed in, may be associated with your account so it is available to you.
AI Solve Analysis is optional and only runs when you choose to analyze a solve. When you do, the app sends still frames sampled from that solve video to our secure backend, which forwards them to our AI provider to generate your analysis. The frames are processed to produce the analysis and are not used to build an advertising profile of you. We do not publicly post your videos.
If you link a WCA ID, the app uses it to request that person's publicly available competition data from the WCA's public results API. Your WCA ID is stored so the app remembers your link. The WCA data shown is public information published by the WCA; we do not receive any private WCA account credentials.
Like most apps, our backend may process basic technical information needed to operate the service securely and reliably (for example, request and error logs). We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run the app:
The World Cube Association is the source of the public competition data shown in the app. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
We keep your account and practice data for as long as your account is active. Frames submitted for AI analysis are processed to produce your result and are not retained to build a profile of you. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the personal data associated with it, except where we are required to keep it for legal or security reasons. See how to delete your account.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK or California), you may have additional rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing. To exercise any of these, email us and we'll help.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections to our backend. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit what we collect in the first place.
The app is rated for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We operate the app and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the app, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data-protection laws than your own.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated within the app or by other appropriate means.
